Faxing, Photocopying, Printing, Scanning

The following technology services are available to Library Patrons in all Branches on a cost-recovery basis.

NCPL offers both incoming and outgoing faxing services.

Cost: $1.00 per page for both sending and receiving.

Patrons may send or receive faxes at any Branch. 

To send a fax:
  • Bring your document and the fax number to the circulation desk. Faxes can only be sent by staff.
  • The Library will receive a confirmation after your fax has been transmitted.
  • If you cannot wait for the confirmation, leave your contact details with staff so they can relay the confirmation to you or let you know if the fax machine on the other end of the line could not be reached. 
To receive a fax:
  • Give the Library's fax number to the sender: 519-426-0657
  • Once they have sent the fax, visit your local Branch during operating hours to receive it. Give the details to staff at the circulation desk so they can locate and print your fax. 

Photocopying services are available at all NCPL Branches.

  • Black and White:
$0.25 per page
  • Colour:
$0.50 per page

Photocopying is self-serve at the public photocopier. Please ask staff to activate the copy function to get started.

Printing services are available at all Branches.

Patrons may either print from the public desktop computers available in the Library Branch or use the mobile printing service to print from their own devices.

Cost:

  • Black and White:
$0.25 per page
  • Colour:

$0.50 per page

All printing is single-sided on letter (8½"×11") paper.

 

Mobile Printing

Upload your print job from your own device at the printer's Princh page:

Be sure to specify your print settings, such number of copies and colour settings, before submitting your print job. 

Library staff cannot preview your documents or change your print settings.

After submitting your print job, see staff at the circulation desk to pay and release your print job. Your submission will not be released to the printer until you arrive to release it. 

For privacy reasons, unreleased print jobs are only held in the queue for 24 hours.

You can also reach the printer's Princh page by scanning the QR code on the printer when you are at the Branch.

Scanning services are available at all Branches. 

Cost: $1.00 per page

To use the scanning service, patrons must have their own email address where they can receive their scanned documents. 

The Library cannot send scanned documents to a third party on behalf of the patron.
